Environmental

Caring for the environment and leaving minimal impact is vital and we feel the same way here at CSA. The small Environmental team is lead by Safety, Health, Environment and Training Manager, Tanya Huon. The team is responsible for ensuring practises are carried out according to environmental law and to help reduced the mine's impact on the environment.

Finance

The Finance department, lead by Finance Manager Michael Cox, is made up of three main sections; accounts, stores and contracts. They are responsible for payment, budgeting and costs for all sections of the mine as well as running the main store on the surface and liaising with contractors to ensure they are working in accordance with their contract, policies, procedures and law.

Human Resources

CSA's Human Resources team is responsible for a range of things including recruiting, payroll, reception and all employee/employment realted issues on site. The HR department, lead by HR Superintendent Brien Obray, strive to make a fair working environment for all employees and to make a smooth transition into the mine for its new starters.

Learning and Development

CSA is focused on training and developing its employees so that they have the opportunity to excel in their role to the best of their ability and to have the opportunity for growth within the company through internal promotions. The Learning and Development department, lead by Safety, Health, Environmental and Training Manager Tanya Gilbert, also run the weekly full inductions for underground and surface personal who haven't yet been inducted to site.

Health and Safety

Health and Safety are of high priority here at CSA and is lead by Tanya Gilbert, Health, Safety, Environmental and Training Manager. CSA is always striving to achieve zero injuries & LTI's; with the changing culture at CSA we can achieve this if everyone does their part. Each section on site meets regularly to participate in Safety Meetings to discuss recent issues and discuss what can be done to eliminate these and other safety hazards.

Ore Processing

Processing and Maintenance make up the two parts in the Ore Processing department which is lead by Derek Beehan, CSA's Ore Processing Manager. The processing side of things involves extracting and filtering the copper concentrate from the ore while the maintenance team provides maintenance support to the Mill and other areas on the surface of the mine.

Mining Team

The Mining Department is made up of different sections including Technical Services, Geology, Operations and Underground Maintenance; all of who are lead by Mining Manager, Geoff Hender. Geoff and his team are responsible for locating and extracting copper ore as well as maintaining the equipment underground to ensure the life the equipment and machinery. They are continually searching for ways to extend the life of the mine.
